Our Commitment to Privacy

Your privacy is important to CoxHealth (“Company”).  We currently provide you with access to the docXchange app (the “App”), and we provide this notice to better protect your privacy and personal information.  However, this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) only applies to data collected through the App and does not apply to information that Company has collected either off-line or through other means.  If you choose to use the App, then you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy. 

 

Information Collection and Use

We may collect information when you register to use the App such as name, e-mail, phone, and other personal details.  We may discover or be exposed to personal information, messages, posts, or other sensitive personal information through your use of the App and our assessment of it.  We may also collect information through technology that does not identify you personally in order to make the App more interesting and useful.  

Company may use third party service providers or companies, such as Google Analytics, to provide App related services or management, to help analyze how users use the App, or to analyze how the App is functioning.  By using the App, you are agreeing to the use of cookies for these purposes.  Cookies are small files that can be placed on your mobile device or computer that uniquely identify your browser or device.  For example, services like Google Analytics collect information anonymously and report trends without identifying individual users.  Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use, http://www.google.com/analytic... and the Google Privacy Policy,  https://policies.google.com/privacy.  Such third party service providers may also collect data used to identify you and may have access to your personal information to perform tasks assigned to them on our behalf.  Company may also use log files to analyze trends, administer the App, track a user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. 

 

How We Protect Your Information

Company maintains safeguards that comply with applicable law that are designed to restrict access to your personal information.  When you access your profile and reports through the App, remember to sign out of your account and close the App when you have finished.  Company will use commercially reasonable methods to ensure the electronic security of your personal information stored or transmitted through the App; however, no electronic storage method or data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  Company shall not be liable for any unauthorized access or discovery of your personal information if it was using commercially reasonable methods to keep such information secure at the time of such access or discovery.

The App may contain links to websites.  If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the privacy policies of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. 

 

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy

No part of our App is structured to attract or provide services for anyone under the age of 13.  We never collect or maintain information in our App from those under the age of 13.  If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected information about a child under the age of 13, that information will be immediately deleted from our records.

 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time.  Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.  Changes to this Privacy Policy may be posted, without other written, verbal, or electronic communication and will be effective immediately after they are posted.
